HOW DOES IT WORK?

1 .Choose your solar Solution

If your family home or small business requires electricity backup, a battery-only solution is perfect for ensuring power during Eskom outages or unexpected power cuts. Alternatively, a hybrid solar solution, incorporating both solar panels and a backup battery, not only reduces electricity consumption costs but also shields you from the impacts of load shedding.

2. Rental Agreement

Customers can rent a solar power system or a backup battery solution from SolarEPC Rentals, the system owner. Through this arrangement, customers pay a monthly rental fee and have access to all the electricity generated by the solar system, ensuring uninterrupted power supply and protection against unexpected power cuts.

3. PV System Installation

SolarEPC Rentals manages the installation and commissioning of the chosen solution on the customer's property. Subsequently, the customer engages in a rental agreement with SolarEPC Rentals, spanning three distinct rental periods. Throughout this duration, they enjoy access to the rented solution.

4. PV System Installation Operation

The customer takes charge of operating the system, utilizing all the electricity generated by the solar panels. This results in potential savings of up to 90% on their electricity bill, while also avoiding the inconvenience of load shedding and unforeseen power cuts. Additionally, the system owner provides 24/7 support and guidance to help the customer maximize their energy output.

Meet Sarah

Let's streamline the information and present it more clearly: Sarah
electricity consumption peaks from 4 pm to 8 am, accounting for 70% of her usage, with an average monthly bill of R2,000. Currently, she pays an average tariff of R2.28/kWh (including VAT).

By installing 14 x 365-watt panels and an 11.4 kWh battery, we estimate Sarah could save R1,350 monthly on her electricity bill. She'll reserve 20% of the battery capacity for potential power outages or load shedding.

Opting for our rental option, Sarah would pay R2,945 monthly to rent the full system. However, with the anticipated savings of R1,350 on her electricity bill, her additional monthly cost would only amount to R1,595.

In conclusion, Sarah gains freedom from load shedding and, after renting the system for 7 years, will have the opportunity to purchase it at just 10% of its original cost. With panels designed for a 25-year lifespan and batteries retaining at least 80% capacity after 7 years, Sarah secures a reliable, long-term solution.

Solar Power Rental

Opting for a solar rental agreement becomes your prime choice when you:

  • Lack substantial upfront capital for investing in a solar power system.
  • Seek to utilize electricity derived from renewable sources.
  • Prefer to evade the burden of maintenance and repairs associated with a solar system.
  • Desire ongoing support and guidance on operating your solar setup.
  • Are ineligible for tax incentives typically associated with solar power investments.
